AMSOIL Semi-Fluid Synthetic EP Grease helps solve problems associated with leaky gearboxes and difficult-to-service applications in industrial and fleet markets. It is primarily used in grease-filled cases where conventional semi-fluid greases do not provide adequate lubricant life or protection. AMSOIL Semi-Fluid Synthetic EP Grease is the primary grease recommendation for truck wheel hubs as outlined in RP 631B, issued by The Technical and Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Association.

Compatibility

AMSOIL Semi-Fluid Synthetic EP Grease is compatible with many other types of greases. However, it is recommended that when changing greases, the equipment be cleaned of the old grease when possible or flushed with a liberal amount of Semi-Fluid Synthetic EP Grease while the mechanism is in operation. Grease Storage & Handling

Grease should always be stored in a cool, dry area with temperatures above freezing but below 80°F. Store grease in the original container in an upright position and avoid direct sunlight. Directions

1. Disconnect the power source to electrical equipment before spraying.

Most two- and four-stroke motor oils are formulated to have an affinity to engine component surfaces, acting as a barrier that keeps condensate from contacting engine components and forming corrosion. However, the effectiveness of motor oil in this area diminishes with time.

Applications

AMSOIL Chain Lube is suitable for all types of chains, including O, X and Z roller chains found in street, off-road and racing motorcycles. It is also excellent for bicycle, agricultural and industrial applications.

Application Recommendation

AMSOIL Synthetic Water-Resistant Grease meets the highest performance standards set by the National Lubrication Grease Institute (NLGI) for wheel bearing applications (GC) and chassis applications (LB). It may be used in automotive wheel bearings, chassis or other applications for which an NLGI #2 GC or LB grease is recommended.

Applications Recommendation

AMSOIL Heavy-Duty EP Grease in grade #1 is recommended for use in manual or automatic lubricating systems. NLGI #1 (GHB) grease has better mobility and is the preferred choice for colder applications, automatic lubrication systems with long pumping runs and other applications (where recommended by the manufacturer).

The correct consistency grade of AMSOIL Heavy Duty EP Grease is recommended for use in heavy and light-duty applications found in manufacturing plants, automotive applications, agricultural equipment and construction equipment. These include, but are not limited to, roller bearings, plain bearings, gears, bushings, wheel bearings, chassis lubrication, universal joints, ball joints, tie-rod ends, steering knuckles, and heavily loaded pivot pins on mining and off-road equipment such as power shovels, draglines, wheel and backhoe loaders, excavators and bulldozers. AMSOIL Heavy-Duty EP Greases are suitable for use up to 325º F. When operating at elevated temperatures, frequent regreasing may be required.
